Stale Fish

Ståle Sandbech’s weapon of choice for deep days, powerful all-mountain fun, and groomer ripping. Built with our Directional Diamond 3D in the nose for maximum float in pow, the Stale Fish also features Directional Flax Walls, running from the front insert pack to the board’s nose for additional rigidity and chatter dampening. Designed with a healthy waist width, there are plenty of riders with bigger feet who use the Stale Fish as a reliable daily driver, no matter the conditions.

Stale Fish Graphic Story

This year’s Stale Collection marks ten years of pro models for Ståle Sandbech and Rome; a massive milestone. Over the course of ten years, we’ve explored endless themes and graphical approaches. A decade later, Ståle’s approach to snowboarding, as well as this graphic, took a simpler path. After several variations on a singular theme, we landed here. With clouds building in the sky, a Storm is brewing. Mixed with a base electrified by a singular lightning bolt, these graphics is poised to stand out whether in the backcountry or laying ruts on local groomers. Ståle and his partner welcomed their first son, Storm, in to the world this past Summer.

Nice Quality Board

This is a well built, loaded with features, modern board. I bought this board to mainly carve groomers, but I do run all mountain and powder when it's available. I do ride switch, but will be doing much of it on this board as it is a directional board. Good looking, correct flex, carves nice.
My only hang-up was availability. I got it end of season April 2024 The sale price was nice, but I am thinking it is going to be too long for me. I am 5"10" 187lbs. I could only choose from 160 or 153 as the 157 was unavailable. I chose the 160. Wish I could have got the 157 or even the 153.

Good board, bad customer service

After having a bad taste left by exchanging my board for a different size I was predisposed to not like it. I rode the board yesterday, it rode great. Laying down some big carves on late season east coast crud. Great edge on the ice, smooth & fast on what corduroy was around, cut right through the spring afternoon mashed tater slush/snow. I really, really liked it. I hope it holds up cause I’m still not happy about the exchange, beware SHIPPING IS NOT INCLUDED ON RETURNS, Customer service has no phone # and doesn’t seem to be in any rush to answer emails.

Quiver killer

This board does it all! Holds an edge nicely on groomers, responsive and powerful, and absolutely crushed powder. I swear this board can even move uphill.

Stalefish 157… could this be the unicorn?

I’m 5’11”, 185lb, riding for 30 years. Local mountain is Whistler and I mainly ride pow, trees, steeper tech terrain. No park. On piste this thing rips. Holds an edge and carves like a dream. Last two boards were Koruas and the Stalefish carves just as nice. Very fast base. Stable and damp at high speed. Lots of pop. Rides switch nicely, maybe a little twitchy but that’s to be expected with the taper. Truly an awesome allrounder that rips the whole mountain. This winter has not blessed us with many deep days but I’ll update my review once Ive had it in some proper pow.

Great board

Great board on the groomers for carving, it also handles jumps and rails in the park very well, didn’t tried it in the pow yet but I’m sure it performs great too, very good all arounder, very responsive, good pop maybe a little bit too stiff for jibbing but still manageable
